Testing task: Navigate backwards to an expanded disclosure button in interaction mode

With JAWS in interaction mode, describe how JAWS behaves when performing task "With focus on the 'Navigate backwards from here' link, navigate to the 'Academics' disclosure button."

Test instructions

  1. Restore default settings for JAWS. For help, read Configuring Screen Readers for Testing.
  2. Activate the "Open test page" button below, which opens the example to test in a new window and runs a script that sets the state of the third disclosure button to expanded, hides the associated dropdown and sets focus on the link after the disclosure.
  3. Verify the PC Cursor is active by pressing Alt+Delete. If it is not, turn off the Virtual Cursor by pressing Insert+Z.
  4. With focus on the 'Navigate backwards from here' link, navigate to the 'Academics' disclosure button.
  5. Using the following commands, With focus on the 'Navigate backwards from here' link, navigate to the 'Academics' disclosure button.
    • Shift+Tab
