Testing task: Navigate backwards to a slider in interaction mode

With JAWS in interaction mode, describe how JAWS behaves when performing task "With focus on the 'Navigate backwards from here' link, navigate to the 'Red' slider."

Test instructions

  1. Restore default settings for JAWS. For help, read Configuring Screen Readers for Testing.
  2. Activate the "Open test page" button below, which opens the example to test in a new window and runs a script that sets focus on a link after the Red slider.
  3. Verify the PC Cursor is active by pressing Alt+Delete. If it is not, turn off the Virtual Cursor by pressing Insert+Z.
  4. With focus on the 'Navigate backwards from here' link, navigate to the 'Red' slider.
  5. Using the following commands, With focus on the 'Navigate backwards from here' link, navigate to the 'Red' slider.
    • Shift+Tab

Success Criteria

To pass this test, JAWS needs to meet all the following assertions when each specified command is executed:
