Testing task: Navigate to the previous column containing a link in a grid in interaction mode

With JAWS in interaction mode, describe how JAWS behaves when performing task "Navigate to the previous column containing a link in the grid."

Test instructions

  1. Restore default settings for JAWS. For help, read Configuring Screen Readers for Testing.
  2. Activate the "Open test page" button below, which opens the example to test in a new window and runs a script that sets focus on the fourth cell of the second row in the grid.
  3. Verify the PC Cursor is active by pressing Alt+Delete. If it is not, turn off the Virtual Cursor by pressing Insert+Z.
  4. Navigate to the previous column containing a link in the grid.
  5. Using the following commands, Navigate to the previous column containing a link in the grid.
    • Left Arrow

Success Criteria

To pass this test, JAWS needs to meet all the following assertions when each specified command is executed:

  1. Text of the column header ('Description') is conveyed
