Testing task: Navigate to the next tab in a tab list

Describe how VoiceOver for macOS behaves when performing task "With focus on the 'Nils Frahm' tab, navigate to the next tab."

Test instructions

  1. Restore default settings for VoiceOver for macOS. For help, read Configuring Screen Readers for Testing.
  2. Activate the "Open test page" button below, which opens the example to test in a new window and runs a script that sets focus on the first tab.
  3. Toggle Quick Nav OFF by pressing the Left Arrow and Right Arrow keys at the same time.
  4. With focus on the 'Nils Frahm' tab, navigate to the next tab.
  5. Using the following commands, With focus on the 'Nils Frahm' tab, navigate to the next tab.
    • Control+Option+Right

Success Criteria

To pass this test, VoiceOver for macOS needs to meet all the following assertions when each specified command is executed:

  1. Role 'tab' is conveyed
  2. Name 'Agnes Obel' is conveyed
  3. Position of tab in the tab list, 2, is conveyed
  4. Number of tabs in the tab list, 3, is conveyed
